I’m Charice Lavonya, founder of CLav Art Studio: Where Creativity Meets Calm. I am an artist and educator who creates expressive works, mostly portraits, in charcoal, pastel, paint, and mixed media. I started creating art at the age of 7, entertaining my great-grandparents with my storytelling and eccentric illustrations.I create art because I’m drawn to the process of building something from nothing—slowly, intentionally, and with focus. Working with charcoal and pastels offers a grounding, meditative experience, where touch, imagination, and patience shape each piece.My work doesn’t always unfold exactly as I imagine it, but that unpredictability is part of the beauty. The journey matters as much as the result.
